Theories
- Everybody that has ever been on the Island and ever will be are connected within a few degrees of each other. I also think that the airport is a possible place for these degrees to happen so long as it's something stranger than bumping into someone and going "Oh, sorry." Example: Sayid asked Shannon to watch his bag, and she then lies to security and he is searched. Any type of relationship might also work such as the caption of the Black Rock being and ancestor of the founders of the DHARMA Initiative. That would connect the captian to everyone in the Initiative and still be considered a few degrees....This is why I can't sleep at night.
- Desmond would go back into the past and change some things but the future he would return to would remain unchanged. This is supported by the quote from the 1996 Faraday in The Constant, "You can't change the future."...Still not sleeping.
